Yesterday evening, Brooklyn indie break-out band MGMT released their first single from their upcoming Congratulations full length. The song is entitled “Flash Delirium” and although we are unable to offer Drexel students direct download of the song, it can be streamed or downloaded at the bottom of the post here.
The song will be the fourth track on this album, rumored to have the release date of April 13th. I personally will keep you updated on further MGMT news and any word of the new album and promise a review – hopefully, before the street date. I can also tell you that I have heard the rumor that Drexel is currently in communication with MGMT’s management (redundant?) to book the band for the upcoming Spring Jam. However, bands for the Spring Jam are chosen by a panel of students and advisors and are sworn to secrecy as to the identity of the bands that they are trying to book. So again, this is just a rumor but I figured it might excite you all to know that it is a possibility.
As for “Flash Delirium” itself, I’d rather have you listen to it than tell you my own opinions on it.
Here’s another song by Kid Cudi featuring the Brooklyn Duo during the chorus:

That music is absolutely amazing, and I’m not really into that genre. I love it!
