The Drexelist is a brand new student-run organization at Drexel University that specializes in Drexel news that is relevant, thought-provoking, and immediate. Through incorporating social networking sites and the interactive nature of Web 2.0, The Drexelist is bringing something to Drexel University that has never before been attempted. We are a hybrid news organization with the body of a traditional news-site, but with the mind of a blog. By doing this, we bring our customers, the Drexel student body, the news that they want, in the way they want it.

The Drexelist is the brainchild of Drexel student Soo Wan Bag who recognized that Drexel students demanded a change in the way they got their news. Year after year, the number of students that get their news through television and print news goes down and down. Meanwhile, the number of students who get their news through websites and social-media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and personal blogs, has continued to grow exponentially.

More recently, The Drexelist has expanded from Soo Wan’s vision through the leadership of Jesse Nepywoda as President, Deanna Collins as Editor-in-Chief, and Nick Rizzuto as Publisher.

Things are happening all the time at The Drexelist and to date we have received interest in our idea from media organizations, local businesses, and other Drexel University student organizations. Currently, the Drexelist is launching its advertising campaign to attract new members and journalists.

In the meantime, we apologize for the incompleteness of the website, but assure you that The Drexelist will be fully functional and kicking ass very shortly.

Thank You,

The Drexelist
